Achrafieh in Beirut, Lebanon during Ramadan a few years back where I learned the culture of in shāʾ Allāh (God willing) and studied Arabic.

Today could be my last day alive.

If that happens, I feel that I’ve lived my life well on my own terms. If it doesn’t happen today, one day it eventually will.

Fearing death is just a waste of time. Heck, fearing anything in life is just a waste of irreplaceable time, attention, and creative energy.

Instead of fearing dying, we should focusing on living and when death comes, as per the African proverb, hope it finds us alive.

In college I learned about strategic management. It was one of the few courses, together with theory of science, that really caught my interest. Understanding how to strategize in life is very useful.

Strategic management, simplified of course, consists of three parts: objective, strategy, and tactics. Objective is the goal, strategy is what to do, and tactics is how to do it.

My objective in life has always been to explore the world and all its interesting cultures, peoples, and beautiful natures during a long and healthy life.
